A New Quilter’s Success
Congratulations to Cody, a new quilter, who successfully completed a flag quilt top and patchwork backing to make her first quilt. I am always happy to have a customer who is either new to quilting and/or new to using a longarmer.
Quilting is an amazing skill, and the edge-to-edge longarming services that I offer can give you wonderful results. I enjoy answering questions because I know you will then be happier with the end product.
This is a no-judgement zone. There are many ways to do things, and since a quilt is made of cloth, which bends and stretches, no quilt is ever perfectly executed.
I also know how hard it can be to pass your hard work off to a stranger. I endeavour to make it as painless as possible.
As far as highly pieced backings, I do accept them as long as the customer understands that I cannot guarantee that the backing will remain straight and square with the lines in the quilt top. Both are wound onto my 12-foot frame. The backing is facing downward, so I cannot make adjustments to it as the quilt is stitched and then advanced.
